More than 2000 species of plants are preserved at Bali Botanic Garden, represent plants from montane areas of the eastern Indonesia: Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua. New plants are acquired from commercial nurseries, arboreta, botanic gardens, plant breeding programs and collecting expeditions. Read more

Location, Hour & Admission

thumbnailThe Bali Botanic Garden is located at Bedugul area in the middle of Bali island about 60 KM from Denpasar. Public transportation is not convenient due to irregular schedule, visitors adviced to use tourish bus, car, taxi, or motorbike.

Individual IDR 7,000

Motorbike parking IDR 3,000

Car parking IDR 6,000

Bus parking IDR 12,000

Car is allowed to drive around the garden with additional fee IDR 12,000.

Indonesian Botanic Gardens

Indonesian Botanic Gardens network is comprises of four gardens (Bali, Bogor, Cibodas, and Purwodadi) under the authority of Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI). The four gardens has specific function represent Indonesia's ecosystem and geography.

 

Bogor Botanic Gardens

This is oldest garden more than 192 years, located in the heart of Bogor city southern capital Jakarta. Just side by side with presidential palace, Bogor Botanic Garden is world famous garden.

Cibodas Botanic Garden

Second oldest garden established in 1862, located in mountain of West Java about 60 KM from Bogor. The Cibodas BG is situated on 1200 m alt exhibit magnificent wet mountainous garden.

Purwodadi botanic garden

Built on 1939 Purwodadi BG is located at Pasuruan city, southern Surabaya East Java. This garden is specialized for collection of plants from lowland and dry area.
